As Converse launched their new “Love, Chuck” platform, we needed to find a way to have this message show up in people’s feeds in organic ways.
The Insight
Chucks have been worn by people for so long that they become a core part of their identities.
Because you can tell so much about a person based on how their Chucks look, these sneakers can also help you find a compatible connection with another person, and Gen Z loves watching love!
The Solution
Chuckmates
A blind dating show where we find out if love truly starts from the sole—hosted by Chicken Shop Date’s Amelia Dimoldenberg.
In this quirky blind dating show hosted by Amelia, one contestant steps into the spotlight and chooses their perfect match based on their Converse sneakers, proving that true love starts from the ground up.
Episode 1 features a female contestant with three male suitors and Episode 2 celebrates Pride with a female contestant and three female/non-binary suitors.
Hidden from the ankles up, three single suitors (aka “Chucks”) answered a series of random questions from “Shoes without socks?” to “Does shoe size matter?”
In addition to other challenges like Sock Secrets where they either revealed a personal secret or revealed their socks, and Make Moves where they danced to show off their footwork—these Chucks competed for a chance to win a Converse-sponsored date. Will these single soles meet their match?
Afterwards, we followed the couples on their date sponsored by Converse—Jaelin brought Jite to a picnic in the park and Ella challenged Eisley to a game of mini golf.
