How do you promote a brand during a national sporting event... without being an official sponsor?
Chipotle needed to promote its Free Delivery offer during the Men's Professional Basketball Championship.
Each time the announcers said "FREE" on air, we tweeted a code for up to 1,000 fans to get FREE burritos, delivered FREE. And the game of Freeting was born:
And they said "FREE"... a lot.
Some people called it ambush marketing.
Our fans called it winning.
And we didn't spend a single dollar on official sponsorship fees.
