Responsibilities

The right candidate will represent a mix of creative thinking and strategic reasoning alongside strong written and verbal skills to articulate not only their ideas but also the value behind them. As a senior member of the team, your responsibility will be across both vertical work and conceptual ideation, leading the charge on projects and providing your expertise to all components of the process—assessing project feasibility, assigning work, resourcing, project planning, and interfacing directly with clients.

Team building, management, and development of the digital strategy team

  • Working closely with Senior Leadership Team to determine the future of the digital strategy team

  • Managing hiring process, open positions, team resourcing, and needs

  • Determine opportunities to innovate, grow, and develop new capabilities


Client Responsibilities

  • Oversee strategy, staffing, and client relationships for projects that will touch any owned social channels or extended digital channels, including influencer and partnerships

  • Support Digital Strategy VPs in leading strategy across owned social workstreams

  • Captain the collaboration process with our Story and Studio teams


New projects


  • Lead the strategy portion of new business and project-based campaigns– including, setting the directional approach at the onset of the process and identifying the day to day team executions.

  • Shape RFP and pitch responses, including leading briefing sessions, leading creative thinking, and driving work presentations back to prospective clients.

  • Estimating budgets and scoping work for production

  • Building relationships and extending the Day One community


Requirements


  • 12+ years agency experience, managing or contributing to the creative ideation and campaign/asset execution

  • Capacity to think through both tactics and the big picture

  • Ability to ideate and articulate the why and the how

  • Understanding of both major and emerging social platforms

  • Strong written/verbal communication

  • Conceptual thinking, editorially minded

  • Leadership and creative problem solving skills

  • Passion for people, organization, and excitement to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment

  • Design and presentation abilities (you love Keynote and Adobe Suite)

  • Self-motivated, organized, and reliable
