This role is full time and available only in New York City.

Job Description:

The Strategist, Brand Reputation will focus on building, growing and innovating across brand owned (corporate newsroom, social and executive) channels, translating the brand's consumer value proposition to a corporate, business-focused audience, with thought leadership at the core.

The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, an expertise in owned and internal communications, and the curiosity to acquire new skills to meet client needs. This role requires a background in client support, an understanding of the ever-changing media landscape, and the ability to support strategic counsel, internally and externally, to successfully align our client’s objectives with impactful earned and owned media ROI.


This person will work alongside team leaders to develop strong owned communications strategies that proactively elevate the profile of key executives and build brand reputation in support of business objectives. In addition to team support, we are also looking for someone who can interface with clients with strategic counsel, reporting, measurement, and more.

Thought Leadership and Owned Storytelling:

  • Develop owned storytelling strategies as part of thought leadership programs for key clients
  • Lead storytelling and content development for client channels, adhering to brand guidelines, standards, and requirements
  • Understand owned content best practices and develop creative ways for client executives to elevate their voice authentically across priority channels
  • Identify potential risks associated with social engagement and provide strategic counsel on how clients can avoid pitfalls
  • Oversee ongoing social reporting and manage any measurement needs for clients across owned channels.

Relationship Building:

  • Develop and maintain robust relationships with key contacts, social channel representatives, and other stakeholders on behalf of clients
  • Collaborate closely with team leaders and clients, providing strategic counsel to achieve objectives by understanding what is driving culture and how brands can authentically participate in prominent conversations

Communication and Writing:

  • Demonstrate clear and concise writing skills
  • Provide strong editing skills with close attention to detail
  • Understand client preferences and show a mastery of responding to client feedback, accurately.

Team Support and Client Counsel:

  • Support internal teams and manage daily client deliverables, including tracking progress for owned storytelling programs
  • Participate in workshops and mentorship sessions to enhance storytelling skills and passion within the team.

Plan and Pivot:

  • Support team efforts to anticipate potential brand challenges for clients and outline strategic responses
  • Monitor for emerging trends and provide analysis on how brands should or should not participate in them
  • Evaluate performance of owned and thought leadership programs and provide strategic pivots for clients as needed.


  • 2+ years of experience
  • Experience in supporting a diverse team
  • Excellent judgment and people skills
  • Experience in owned content strategy as part of thought leadership programs
  • Creative storytelling skills coupled with a deep understanding on how to package a story concisely into short-form content and source visual assets to complement content
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • A proven track record for developing and executing executive voices programs on LinkedIn and achieving tangible results
  • Experience tracking KPIs and reporting on performance for multiple programs
  • Enthusiastic spirit, willing to do what is needed to get the job done
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and pivoting quickly
  • Because of the diversity of clients that the agency represents, the ideal candidate must be able to seamlessly transition (and be successful) supporting and delivering success across a wide range of assignments and client categories — including travel, financial services, lifestyle, consumer tech, fashion and beverage
  • Bachelor's Degree.

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $65,000-$85,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include medical insurance (health, dental, and vision), retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, new business and employee referral bonuses, etc. Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for New York City based hires only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Pay Transparency Law. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as candidates' relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
