
Director/Sr. Director, People Experience

This position is full time and has a hybrid flexible work schedule located at our NY office location.
Responsibilities:
We are searching for an innovative HR professional who wants to help develop and execute a progressive talent strategy across the entire employee experience. This is a role for a seasoned and dynamic generalist who wants to break the traditional HR mold, build new things and drive business impact. Someone who enjoys being a hands on key strategic partner for leaders and employees. You are expected to be entrepreneurial minded, detail oriented, curious and a creative problem solver by nature. Working closely with the VP, People Experience, you will be a collaborative member within the People Team and an embedded leader and advocate within your assigned business vertical(s) aligning people strategy to support the achievement of business objectives.
Business Partnership
Be a trusted advisor for people matters at all levels across assigned business vertical(s) and across the agency
Build strong relationships and business knowledge to provide guidance on talent management, leadership development, change management, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement and retention, process efficiency and other people initiatives to drive achieving business and employee goals
Be the source of knowledge to leadership on key people issues that need to be addressed and provide solutions that help leadership and People Team develop and implement key programs to enhance the employee journey
Consult and coach managers on effective management strategies to build, develop and retain high performing inclusive teams
Partner with People Team COEs to ensure talent strategy and initiatives are built to scale, drive impact and modify, as needed
Lead adhoc People Team projects from concept to execution with a focus on strong project management
Champion DEI&B initiatives within assigned vertical(s) and across the agency
Support building and tracking metrics/dashboards to inform critical business and talent decisions and regularly measure effectiveness of talent programming
Talent Acquisition
Partner with Talent Acquisition and business to develop and effectively execute recruiting strategies to attract and select top talent for the agency with a focus on diversity and elevating both the candidate and hiring manager/team experience
Consult managers on critical skill assessment, staff planning and team structure- identifying talent gaps for current and future business needs
Contribute to development and execution of the agency’s talent brand and value proposition
Employee Relations
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in adherence with any company, legal or regulatory laws, and advise on best practices
Support managers and new hires to ensure a high touch onboarding experience and successful acclimation to the agency
Conduct regular check-ins to support employees through keep touchpoint of the employee journey and keep a pulse on employee engagement
Advise on employee relations matters and lead investigations to minimize risk to the agency
Maintain up to date knowledge of trends, best in class talent practices, labor laws, legislative initiatives that have implications on employees and the business
Career Development
Support managers and employees throughout the performance management process
Ensure smooth implementation of learning and development plan within assigned vertical(s) and that career development goals are being met
Execute on the career development pathways which includes ensuring organizational structure, competency models and job paths are aligned to overall strategic people priorities
Requirements:
8-12 years of experience in human resources, project management and client/professional services environment
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred experience in a creative/agency environment
Trusted advisor with impeccable relationship building skills who can maintain a high level of confidentiality
Exceptional people, communication, consultative and influencing skills leveraging a solution oriented approach to problem solving
Exhibits an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys contributing to the creation of new systems, programs, and company culture
Strong executive presence and sr leadership stakeholder management
Experienced in strategic thinking and ability to see, articulate and drive to the big picture
Understands the tenants of change management and is comfortable with constant change and growth
Strong leadership, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
Resourceful and can research, understand and keep up to date on applicable employment laws, regulations and best practices
Proficient with HR systems and excel, google docs, powerpoint etc.
The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $155,000-$180,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include medical insurance (health, dental, and vision), retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, new business and employee referral bonuses, etc. Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for New York City based hires only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Pay Transparency Law. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as candidates' relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
