Day One Agency—Campaign Magazine’s Agency of the Year and PRovoke Media’s Creative Agency of the Year—is hiring! We’re looking for a Director, People Partner - Career Development to join our growing Human Resources team. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about helping people actualize potential and understand their career paths within Day One, and partner with the business in establishing and executing professional and leadership development programs, and enhance the learning culture. The role will also oversee the learning and performance management systems and process.

You’ll take pride in your work, show initiative, and go the extra mile. The role is a critical part of our People team. We’re looking for self-starters with a preference for creative agency experience who are willing to work collaboratively and quickly with our squad. Excellent organizational skills are imperative. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial minded, detail oriented, and a creative problem solver by nature. This position acts as a point person for Onboarding and Learning & Development across all Day One offices.

  • Career Path Development and Execution
    • Understand what it means to have a career at Day One and develop career paths for each level.

    • Spearhead special projects like competency mapping, development goals and skills assessments, leadership academy, mentorship and coaching etc., to help define and operationalize career development

  • People Development
    • Be an active coach to staff on soft skills development

    • Design, build and execute on an onboarding strategy

    • Build programs that help enhance cultural integration of new hires like orientation, buddy system, coordinating Ops/Tools, assigning training and establishing connections with key stakeholders etc.

    • Work closely with business leaders to design, curate, and execute engaging employee development programs which are tied to Day One business strategy and increase leadership effectiveness

    • Manage external Vendors for learning and other programs as well as learning system

  • Performance Management
    • Manage trainings and management of the performance management system

    • Create and track appropriate evaluation tools, metrics and statistics on the results and organizational impact of programs and practices

    • Help design and implement the performance review process


  • 7-8 years of experience Learning & Development or relevant experience

  • Passion for people, organization, and excitement to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment

  • Self-motivated, organized and reliable

  • Great people and communication skills

  • Leadership and problem-solving skills

  • Proven experience in a creative environment: Marketing/PR/Advertising agency or start-up operations

  • Exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy contributing to the creation of new systems, programs, and company culture

  • Able to manage one to two members of people team
