Day One Agency—Campaign Magazine’s Agency of the Year and PRovoke Media’s Creative Agency of the Year—is hiring! We’re looking for a Designer or Sr. Designer to join our rising team. The right candidate will be ambitious, hard-working, and dedicated to telling stories that stop people in their scroll. You’ll take pride in your work, show initiative, and go the extra mile to ensure that creativity breaks through and “earns it” for our clients. We’re looking for self-starters with creative agency experience who are willing to work collaboratively and quickly with our squad. Excellent organizational skills are imperative. This position is full time and available in Los Angeles, New York, Portland, or Chicago.

Our team is rapidly growing, so you should be comfortable (and flourish) in a deeply dynamic environment. We are looking for a team member with a solid foundation and proven track record of success in designing assets for branded content, deck layout, social videos and more. This creative will serve a vital role at Day One.

​​As we look at the opportunity to grow and evolve our bi-coastal studio and production team, we’re looking for a Designer or Sr. Designer to evolve our creative abilities and drive forward our team vision of setting a high bar for all things visual creative.

The role of the Designer/Sr. Designer at Day One is an important piece of the studio. They will work across some of the biggest brands at the agency and have opportunities to see their work showcased at events, conferences, on social media, web and beyond. They will work with a team of both full time and freelance designers, animators, motion graphics artists and more.


Responsibilities

  • The ideal candidate will be a visual thinker who can help us solve problems with both their hands-on skills and thinking. A lot of job descriptions put people inside a narrow focus, but this is an opportunity to flex and showcase a variety of skills.

  • Be concept and creative-minded, providing a unique perspective and support for projects

  • Contribute to creative strategy sessions by providing ideas and insights to build from

  • Collaborate effectively with team members across studio and agency

  • Deliver client-ready assets on everything including social, out of home, brand marketing, advertising, responsive web, pitches/presentations, events and print design


Requirements:

  • Multi-disciplinary design portfolio

  • 3+ years experience within the industry

  • Familiarity designing across platforms from digital to print to experiential

  • Energetic and collaborative with a great work ethic

  • Thrive in a diverse environment and contribute to the overall culture of Day One

  • Multi-task and prioritize workload with quick turnarounds

  • First-hand experience taking projects from concept through design

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Ability to present concepts and to work closely with clients, applying creative solutions to strategic business problems

  • Ability to iterate and evolve concepts with constructive feedback

  • Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, Google Slides


Major Bonus If You

  • You are comfortable with editing software and/or motion graphics

  • You’re an expert in Figma

  • You have photography experience

  • You have experience on set, whether filming video content or photography

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $65,000-$110,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include medical insurance (health, dental, and vision), retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, new business and employee referral bonuses, etc. Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for NYC and CA based hires only and is provided pursuant to the New York City and California Pay Transparency Law. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as candidates' relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
