This position is full time and available in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities
- Client Relations: Key contributor and owner of client work streams and projects.Builds trust with client contact and teams; Professional and able to analyze and contextualize information to inform strategic recommendations.
- Brand Storytelling: Approaches earned storytelling with an integrated approach, going beyond media relations to help brands become culture worthy (over just being press worthy). IAT experience and working with partner agencies is preferred.
- Media Relations: Develops earned storytelling strategies, ideas and materials inspired by what is happening in culture and among our clients’ aspirational audiences. Knows what the media cares about and is a pro at developing stop-in-your-scroll campaigns and pitches. Builds media relationships on behalf of the clients and agency; Owns media opportunities from start to finish.
- Trend Hunting: Curious about the world and what stops people in their scrolls. Finds enjoyment in sleuthing for trends, insights and articles to inspire new ideas and timely programs. Someone who has an interest in the emergence of new consumer technology is definitely a plus for this role!
- Project Ownership: Able to see the big picture while managing the tactical. Solutions oriented while demonstrating a high level of organizational skills.Great attention to detail.Articulates ideas succinctly and is comfortable with public speaking and presentations. Self starter that can autonomously drive anything they lead.
Requirements
- Large brand experience across the lifestyle and consumer category
- Track record of successfully developing earned storytelling plans connected to culture and social insights - inclusive of timely media strategies, unique story angles and pithy pitch materials all in pursuit of positive earned coverage and scroll-stopping programming
- Successful in managing multiple short- and long-term plans and projects simultaneously
- Experience engaging mid- to senior-level clients
- Success in securing media coverage
- Curious about what is happening in culture
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Public Relations or Marketing preferred
- 7-9 years of media relations experience; agency/client experience is a plus
