This position is full time and is available in our New York and/or Los Angeles offices.
The ideal candidate will help us arrive at stories that earn a reaction, by sharing the narratives of our clients through the executive voices that are driving the brands’ visions forward. Their work should be deeply grounded in brand storytelling and connecting that to culture and what our clients’ key audiences care about. An Account Director of Communications at Day One should be ready to take on a fresh challenge every day.
Responsibilities for this senior role include serving as a day-to-day client and team lead on select clients as well as team support on others, who will be instrumental in developing and executing thought leadership-driven earned storytelling strategies that builds a platform for our clients and their key executives:
At least 8 years of relevant experience as a PR professional.
Ability to lead ongoing and announcement-specific earned storytelling, finding creative ways to integrate brand narratives, key voices and news moments to break through.
Strong media relations skills, deep relationships with relevant press and an ability to get creative in the way we tailor stories to them
Expertise in written/verbal communications internally and externally across mediums and channels, from key messaging to press materials to executive blog posts to social copy
Ability to work/thrive in fast-paced environment while paying close attention to every detail
Excels in client relations and communicating with senior level, client-side executives
Enthusiasm for the C-Suite, advertising, marketing, tech and emerging digital worlds
Self-motivated, proactive and deadline-oriented
Must be able to work — and thrive — in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness.
The ideal candidate will be able to transition and/or also support success across a wide range of assignments and client categories — including travel, financial services, lifestyle, consumer tech, B2B, sustainability, DE&I.
